HIGHER TIMBER PRICES
♦ ACTION AFTER INCREASE IN WAGES (BKESS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAM.) HAWERA, March 7. After an increase of 10 per cent, in the wages of timber workers, it has been decided by the industry,, after, investigation by Government officers, to increase the price of timber by 10 per cent, over all. In practice, the increase on lines in demand will be as much as 20 per cent.
