PRISONERS SENTENCED AT WELLINGTON

WELLINGTON, March 1
Prisoners were sentenced by his Honour Mr Justice Reed in the Supreme Court as follows: — - Leslie Charles Smith, two years’ reformative detention for assault with intent to commit rape. Charles Gordon Holland, six months’ imprisonment with hard labour for breaking and entering and theft. James Grindley, two years’ probation for unlawful carnal knov/ledge. Daniel Frederick Swift Creed, throe years’ probation, for breaking and entering and theft. Edward Lewis Stevens, two years probation, for breaking and entering with intent to commit crime. Harold Roland Rubick, six months imprisonment with hard labour for false pretences and forgery
