PERSONAL || Mr' and Mrs H. J. Oates have returned from a holiday at pleasant Point. Mr and Mrs J. Condon, Lillie Port Cooper, left last night for a hjojliday at Wellington, Napier, and Wanganui. Old Colonists’ Hall \ The opinion was expressedby certain old residents of Lyttelton; (that the proposed transfer of the Old (pjolonists Hall site from the Borough Cptuneil to the Education Board for the erection of a new school cannot be effected without a special act of Parliament. When the Old Colonists’ Association transferred the property to the council, special conditions were made (whereby the council was to hold it in tfust only. The original transfer deed, and the council’s title to the property will probably be investigated before Hhe next meeting of the council. _____ JUMBLE SALE.
