Street Collections ]' MR B. AHLFELD wishes to flu "" all those citizens who have co-opera with him in campaign ag ; street begging by, I refusing to give to I street collections. | He also expresses % his appreciation of I those who refused >, to give their serA vices as collectors. According to press reports the organ- * isations involved* ! now find it impossible to get sufficient collectors to come forward. Despite the fact that an extra street appeal was held this year, the aggregate shows a decrease of considerably more than £2OOO. This shows that, as the result of my lone-hand campaign during the last four years the majority have come to my way of thinking with regard to this degrading street appeal menace. Considering the opposition that I have had to contend with from biased councillors and others it is most gratifying to realise that the citizens have themselves shown these opponents to my work that their opposition is not appreciated.
