■■ To celebrate the opening of nine of the permanent holes at the Waitikiri Golf Club's links at Burwood, a Canadian foursome medal match was played on Saturday', arid "a dance was held later'at the clubhouse. The clubhouse, which is surrounded by a garden and beautiful ,old ..trees, was the scene of the dance, and the rttom's Were "decorated tor. the occasion with'ivbeautiful gladioli, supplied by Jhe -ladies' club captain, Mrs A.
