FUNERAL
MISS JEAN MADDREN The respect in which Miss Jean Mad-. dreu was held was shown by the number of relatives and friends who at- i tended her funeral, which took place at j Sydenham. Before the procession left the home of- her parents, in Hackthorne road, Cashmere, a short ser- j vice was conducted by the Rev. J. Johns and the Rev. Wesley Parker, who also took the service at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs S. Sayers, R. G; Pearce, R. Kiddey, H. McCaffrey, T. Macfarlane, and F. Baird. There were representatives from all branches of the Sydenham Methodist Church and Bible classes of which Miss Maddren was a leader.
