SECRET U.S. NAVAL MANOEUVRES
FOUR DAYS’ MOCK WARFARE OFF CALIFORNIAN COAST (Received February 2, 5.5 p.m.) SAN PEDRO, February IUnprecedented secrecy surrounds the large-scale United States Fleet manoeuvres off the Californian coast. Ninety-eight warships and 260 aeroplanes will carry out a test by Admiral Bloch, the entire Fleet moving from Los Angeles harbour under the threat of an enemy attack. There will be four days* mock warfare.
