FOREIGN INTERESTS WILL BE
SAFEGUARDED

LONDON, January 25,
The Cairo correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that in planning the first Budget sincp the Montreux Convention restored fiscal liberty to Egypt, the Finance Minister (Sidky Pasha) states that foreign interests will be equitably safeguarded. Qualified representatives of the foreign communities will be given an opportunity to submit their views.
ATTEMPT ON LIFE OF
NAHAS PASHA
ALLEGED IMPLICATION WITH REVOLUTION PLOT

LONDON, January 24
The Cairo correspondent of "The Times" states that Nahas Pasha has sent a petition to the Procureur General alleging that the attempt made on his life in November was connected with the Green Shirts' agreement to engineer a revolution and overthrow his Government.
He alleges that the present Prime Minister (Mahomed Mahmoud) is implicated.
Three shots were fired at Nahas when the former Prime Minister was returning home from a political meeting, but he was not injured.
