"SERENADE"
STANLEY M'KAY'S "GAIETIES"
The Christchurch season of vaude-ville-revue presented by Stanley McKay's "Gaieties" Company at St James' Theatre is drawing to its close, as the company is due in Dunedhi on Saturday, February 5. The present production, "Serenade, with its colourful scenas and skilful comedy, is considered by many patrons to be the most popular presentation of the season, and full houses have been flatteringly frequent. Joe Lawman has more scope for funmaking in "Serenade" than he had in the earlier productions, and he is supported by a brilliant company of principals and some excellent specialty acts.
As the festivities for the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the settlement of Australia start to-day in Sydney, Mr McKay requests the patrons at both performances to-day (matinee and night) to join with the "Gaieties," most of whom are Australians, in singing "Advance, Australia Fair."
A complete change of programme will be eiven on Saturday. Seats may be reserved at the D.I.C.
