INDIA
Kamala lives in India. Her dress is made of white cotton cloth folded round and fastened at' the waist. It has borders of many colours. She does not wear stockings and often does not wear any shoes. For early morning breakfast she eats puffed rice and a fruit—dates, peaches,
bananas, mangoes, or watermelon. Her mother also has light molasses cake, coconut, cucumber slices, or onions For late breakfast between nine and 11, Kamala's mother serves rice, banana leaves, split pea soup, and vegetables. Most people do not have tables, chairs, forks, knives, or spoons and they eat with the fingers of the right hand. Ha-do-do, or Kit-Kit, is the name of a popular game among boys and girls in India

FROM AFRICA
I am 13 years and my birthday is on October 23. I collect stamps. I am very fond of sport and music. I have two pen friends who collect stamps and we spend our time sending stamps to each, other. I think it is very interesting collecting stamps.
I am very pets. I have two cats and a dog: I am getting
another dog. I had 21 pigeons but a wild cat came and ate them. We live on a farm but I wish that we lived in a town. I should like a pen friend about my age.
—SYLVIA COLTMAN, Wycombe Vale, C'ougos Kraal, Alexandria District, Cape Province, South Africa.
