The Court statistics snow that 7498 criminal cases came °n *? hearing, and if 702 heard in the cnudren's Court are taken into account the total reaches 8200. . The figures for each successive quarter are:—Males. 1270. 1482, 189* 2281; females. 119, 156, 147. 150. The Children's Court figures are:-" Males, 140, 200, 215, 101; females, ** 12. 9, 11. .. . Fees and fines for the year totaliea £12.007 10s. Civil complaints for each sive quarter were 1516, 1735, I*J* 1379, and the total amounts sued . towere £30.524. £28.498 14s 9d, £17,«2 13s 9d, and £21,055 Is.
