WHEAT QUALITY EXCELLENT
METALS MARKET IMPROVES
Samples of the new season’s wheat are’ beginning to be received m the city and in every case the quality is excellent The gram has filled well, and is hard and free from L noisture. Yields appear to be better than were expected. The metals market has opened the week with substantial rises in price for most descriptions. Tin has lifted £3 10s a ton and copper £ 1 10s. fhe investment market in Christchurch yesterday was quiet, with a moderate turnover in a wide range of stocks Prices moved irregularly.
