CHARGE OF MURDERING YOUNG GIRL
——♦ ■ (Received January 18, 5.5 pm.) SYDNEY, January 17. : At the conclusion of the inquest into the death of Marcia Hayes, the Coroner committed Alfred Spicer; aged 65, for trial on a charge of murdering the., girl. The police submitted a statement allegedly made by Spicer explaining how the crime was-committed. The body of the, girl, aged six, was found by a police-dog in a creek on December 25. She had been outraged and strangled. .
