Tlic Karu is to load here to-day for Nelson and New Plymouth. The Holmdale, due here to-morrow morning from Timaru.' will load and sail for Wellington, Plcton, and Wanganui. The Walmarino Is to arrive here to-day from Timaru to load for Auckland. The Walpiata Is due here on Tuesday from Auckland and Wellington and is to sail the same day for-Dunedin. Bluff, and Timaru.

The Port Waikato is limed to load here on Saturday for Wellington, Auckland. Tauranga, and Whangarei.

KAKAPO TO RECOMMISSION

The Union Company’s new cargo steamer Kakapo went on the floating dock at Wellington on Monday morning for survey. She will recommission on Wednesday and will leaye for Westport to load, for Auckland.

UNION COMPANY CHARTERS

The Union Company has chartered the Bank t , Line motor-ship Clydebank for a single round voyage from Sydney to the Pacific Coast of America and back. She is to leave Sydney on February 2 for Suva, Lautoka, Papeete, and Vancouver, and will load at Pacific Coast ports the second half of March and early April for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. Built in 1925 by Harland and Wolff, Ltd., at Belfast, the Clydebank is a motor-ship of 3156 tons gross. Under a single-voyage -charter to the Union Company, the Norwegian tanker Solheim is to load bulk fuel oil at Sumatra about February 15 for Wellington. ‘ .
