AUCKLAND, December 11

Asked to comment on Captain H. HSergeant’s statement on the naval tragedy, Commander S. H. Paton, of H.M.S. Achilles, said: “It is not for me to make any comment now that the official papers have been forwarded to the Navy Office in Wellington. “The Navy Office now has all the facts as disclosed, and it is now up to them. I am not entitled to prejudice what the Navy Office may. or may not, wish to say.”
