SAMPSON TROPHY The annual match between Timaru and Christchurch women bowlers for the Safnpson trophy was played on the Beckenham green. The weather was unfavourable and playing conditions were unpleasant. The Timaru women were successful, scoring 171 points against Christchurch 135. „ . The results were (Timaru names first) Greenfield 16, Woolcock 22; Murphy 16, Britten 16; Grant 16. Smith 20; Davies 17, Hetherton 28; Reeve 33, Allen 8; Osborne 29, Ramsay 10; Sewell 23, Olllver 17; Hunt 21, Madsen 15.
