BELGIAN ROYAL VISIT
KING LEOPOLD TO RETURN TO BRUSSELS (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, December 7. It is stated that Queen Elizabeth of Belgium and King Leopold, who are on a private visit to the Duke and Duchess of Portland, will return to Brussels to-morrow. RUMOUR OF ROYAL ROMANCE DUKE OF PORTLAND GIVES A DENIAL (Received December 8, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 7. The Marchioness of Titchfield denies reports linking her sister-in-law, Lady Anne Cavendish-Ben-tinck, with Prince Charles of Belgium. She said: “The Prince is not visiting Welbeck Abbey. I have never seen him in my life.” The Duke of Portland’s solicitors sent a letter to “The Times” giving a “complete and unqualified denial to every suggestion in certain newspapers about the visit of the King of the Belgians to Welbeck Abbey.
