BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL MAGAZINE
A full account of all the various school activities is contained in the December issue of the magazine of the Christchurch Boys’ High School, which has just been released. In the editorial notes reference is made to the remarkable number of boys who have left school to take up positions in town and country. Mention is also made of the donations whtch have been received towards the cost of building the Assembly Hall, plans for which are at last being prepared by the architect. Apart, however, from the account of the school’s activities, the magazine maintains its high reputation for fiction and verse from the pens of the boys, and some of the pages are cleverly illustrated with line draw rings and artistic photography. Special regret is recorded at the death of Mrs Lancaster, wife of the headmaster, Mr G. J. Lancaster, early this year. The keen interest she took in everything connected with the school and with the old boys, and the i inspiration of her own high ideals of 1 loyalty and service are gratefully recorded. and sympathy is extended to the headmaster and the family.
