SUEZ CANAL
(tnrrriD mss association —coprEianT.) LONDON, December 7. The Suez Canal Company has declared an interim dividend of 263.63 francs, making a total dividend of 300 francs for the year.
ORIENT STEAM LONDON, December 7. The Orient Steam Navigation Company, Ltd., an affiliate of the P. and O. Steam Navigation Company, earned operating profit and investment income of £351,011 in the year ended I June 30. The surplus on the sale of investments was £9450. Transfer from general reserve amounts to £175,000. Depreciation takes £241.921 and special expenditure £163,616, leaving a balance of £129,925. The amount brought in was £40,461. The ordinary dividend of 5 per cent, takes £134,304; and the carry forward is £36,082. WOOLWORTHS (N.Z.) SYDNEY, December 8. The shareholders of • Woolworths \(N.Z.), Ltd., approved the recommendation to make a bonus issue of ordinary shares in the proportion of one to 10. The proposal that the £1 shares be divided into 5s shares was adopted. WOOLWORTHS, LIMITED Woolworths, Ltd., Sydney, have advised the Stock Exchange Association that the directors have declared an interim dividend of 2 per cent., payable on January 15.
