RESOLUTION OF NEW ZEALAND LAW SOCIETY (PRESS ASSOCIATIOK TBIJEGBAM.) WELLINGTON, December 6. At the quarterly meeting of the council of the New Zealand Law Society, the following resolution was carried unanimously:—"That the New Z/saland Law Society reaffirms the principle that it is' imperative in the interests of the community and for the maintenance of the high standards of the Bench that in the making of judicial appointments only those men should be considered whose experience in the courts and eminence at the Bar have qualified them for judicial office." It was decided to forward a copy of the resolution to the Prime Mm ster (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Attorney-General (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason).
