DANCE RECITAL

MISS BESSIE MACDONALD'S PUPILS Miss Bessie Macdonald's dance recital last week attracted a large audience. The work of the children was extremely good, and reflected much credit on the energetic teacher who trained them. The programme was an interesting one, and exceedingly happy in its variety. The majority of the costumes were of the ballet type, which is most effective on the stage, and gives great freedom of movement. Songs by Mr D. McGill and Mr F. Hale were much appreciated. Miss Macdonald is to be congratulated both upon the success of her recital, and the quality of the work presented. The evening's success owed much to the staunch support given by Mrs W. O. S. Adam at the piano. Miss Macdonald was stage manager, and Mr W. O. S. Adam house manager.
