The British and American Con-suls-General have protested to Manchukuo against the enforcement of exchange control against British and American banks. The Domei News Agency states that the protest was rejected, on the grounds that if Britain and America desired the same privileges as Japan they should recognise Manchukuo and negotiate an agreement.
