How times have changed. Think of the old wash- ' basin of some years ago and consider the elegant presentation that to-day graces our homes. Think, also, of how the outlook on personal cleanliness has altered of recent years. After all, it is not so many years ago that even a bathroom was considered a luxury and by many an unnecessary faddy adjunct to a house. At that time to leave those delightfully unwashed patches behind the ears was not a habit confined only to schoolboys. Even adults treated themselves to that luxury. But time marches on . . . few things more effectively symbolise to-day the progress in thought and habit than the modern wash-basin. To-day the cult is for cleanliness —cleanliness in body, in mind, and in clothing. And it has brought a sense of well being and made life brighter and better than it was ever before. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why you so seldom now hear reference to "the good old days." But cleanliness to-day is not confined to the "human chassis" . . . clothing is kept cleaner and sweeter than ever before. Our appearance is brighter and better—and rightly so, as it affects the whole outlook on life. The services of expert dry cleaners among people who "really live" are used as a regular part of their daily life just as much as the modern wash-basin. Modern dry cleaning and pressing, provided by Taylor's, not only pays for itself over and over again by extended wear of suits and frocks, but also assures that the manner in which we present ourselves to our fellows is above reproach. It also assures that many of those emanations of the body, unavoidable in hot weather, such as "P.A.," are entirely eliminated from our clothing. Again we would remind you—"To-day is Monday" ... by 'phoning 31-820, Taylor's will do the rest, call for clothing that requires expert cleaning and pressing and return it to your home as clean and sweet and as smart as new. Or work may be left at the Factory, 57-59 Kilmore Street, or at Taylor's Depot, 678 a Colombo Street, opposite Ballantynes.
