LYTTELTON NEWS

FAIR CONCLUDED

The three days' fair, in aid of the funds of the Lyttelton branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association, concluded on Saturday night, when there was again a large attendance. The financial result is stated to be very satisfactory. On Saturday night selections were played by Mr P. Skinner's Harmonica Band and by the Christchurch Highland Pipe Band. Old-Time Dance An old-time dance arranged by the committee of the West Lyttelton School on behalf of the Lyttelton branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association attracted many dancers to the Excelsior Hall on Saturday evening. Music was provided by the Fox-Woods band, and extras were played by the Christchurch Highland Pipe Band. Dancing exhibitions were given by the pupils of Miss Muriel Waugh. Mr and Mrs F. Forman were the winners of a lucky spot two-step, and a Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr and Mrs D. Donaldson.
