REVUE SEASON TO OPEN TO-NIGHT

After successful seasons everywhere in the Dominion that it has appeared the Montague Show will open in Christchurch to-day with “Let’s Go Places.” This revue will be played at St. James’ Theatre. The company will arrive in Christchurch to-day in : ts own special train at 2.15 p.m. The Dunedin season was completed last evening, and the company will'leave for Christchurch at 7 o’clock this morning. In addition to the several carriages required for the personnel of the company, five large vans were needed for the scenery and effects.

Described as the only complete West End revue company to be imported from London, the Montague Show will present the revue on exactly the same scale as it was staged in London. Many brilliant performers will be seen in this company, which had a remarkable run before leaving for Australia and New Zealand.

The principal performer is the English comedian, George Doonan. He is well known in the West End as a representative of the modern school of “dress-suit” comedians. Catherine
