OBITUARY

MR C. E. SIMPSON

The death* has occurred of Mr Charles Edward Simpson, a son of the late Mr and Mrs W. H. Simpson, formerly of Oxford, North Canterbury, at the age of 43 years. Mr Simpson! was a corporal in the Ist Canterbury Regiment, Main Body, during the war. For the last four years he had lived at Kotuku, on the West Coast, where he took an active part in the affairs of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, being secretary of the Brunner subbranch.

The funeral took place to the Bromley cemetery. The service at the house and at the graveside was taken by the Rev. G. Sell. At the graveside “Last Post” was sounded.

Mr Simpson leaves a widow and tw* children.
