CANTERBURY CLUB
In response to many requests for a social event, it has been decided to hold a pillion and solo trial to-mor-row afternoon. This event will be of an easy nature, with observed sections and easy time checks. The course will be an entirely new one. covering not more than 25 miles. During the afternoon riders will be the guests of the club at afternoon tea. Competitors will assemble at Swindley’s service station, not later than 2 p.m. Post entries will be received to the time of starting, 2.15 p.m. The club intends holding a social evening at Woodend beach towards the end of this month or early in
December The event will take the form of a time trial. Dancing and motion pictures will be held after the presentation of the certificates won last season.
Corsair Club The programme is well drawn up for the Corsair Club’s spring meeting at Moeraki. x . Members are requested to have their racing numbers fixed to their machines.
NEW LIGHTING LAWS IN ENGLAND
ILLEGAL TO LEAVE CAR WITH HEADLIGHTS ON New motor lighting regulations came into force in England on October 3, just after the reversion from summertime to standard time The chief provisions m the new re gulations are those designed to pr-ycnt dazzle.
