WOMEN BEAT MEN IN MATCH AT SHIRLEY The Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club beat the Christchurch Golf Club by 11 games to five In a match at Shirley yesterday. The men were handicapped to the extent of three-quarters of the difference between their handicaps and those of their opponents and five strokes. Results were:— D. H. Butcher beat Miss Ward, L. J. Taylor lost to Miss Fleetwood. M. W. Simes lost to Mrs Barker. F G. Grant lost to Miss Wilson, A. A. Boon lost to Mrs Godby. P. H. N‘ Fnicdh lost to Mrs McKillop, M. H. Godby beat Mrs Kingscote, P. L. Porter lost to Mrs Pumphrey, L. A. Dougall lost to Miss Norton, C. A. Seymour beat Mrs Cummings, C. J. Ward beat Miss Buchanan. E. J. Pumphrey lost to Miss Beadel, E. j, Gardner lost to Miss Nutt. J. Dolpb lost to Miss 'White-Parsons, M. G. Harman beat Mrs Brittan, W. L. M. Dearsley lost to Miss Frater.
