N Salmon As previously reported, Cohoe salmon is short in Canada, and now stocks of Sockeye are reported to be in a similar position. Several packers have oversold. these grades, and short delivery on second shipments is expected. Rumours are current that some exporters are executing second shipments 50 per cent, short. Dried Fruits The first dispatch of dried apricots, new season's, from Australia, is expected to be about the middle of January, with nectarines and peaches following shortly afterwards. Packers have so far not indicated any prices, but orders are being solicited in New Zealand, subject to buyers' right of cancellation when prices are named. The advantage of forward booking on these terms is that buyers get first refusal of the fruit when prices are nominated.
