DUKE'S TOUR OF AMERICA

GOVERNMENT AVOIDS OFFICIAL CONNEXION (Received October 22, 9 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 21. Mr H. L. Ickes, Secretary of the Department of the Interior, told journalists to-day that the American Government was shunning official connexion with the Duke of Windsor's tour. He said the Government had informed the Duke of Windsor's agents that he must work out his own itinerary and publicity. He understood that the Duke was coming to America incognito. The Government did not want to embarrass him.
