MR BROADBENT STARTS HELD UP BY FOG FOR FOUR DAYS # (Received October 22, 9 p.m.) LONDON, October 22. After being held up by fog for four successive days, Mr H. F. Broadbent started at 5 a.m. to-day on his flight to Australia. The moon was shining brightly as Mr Broadbent started across the aerodrome. His first stop will be Rome. He is flying the same Leopard Moth machine in which he broke the Australia to England record. Mr Broadbent wheeled the machine out of the hangar unaided. He said that he intended to do a good deal of night flying and hoped to accomplish the flight in less than five days. He did not know where he would pass Miss Jean Batten.
