LOSS OF ENDEAVOUR FEARED

• ♦ FAILURE OF SEARCH (Received September 19, 7.30 p.m.) BOSTON, September 18. Fears for Mr T. O. M. Sopwith’s yacht, Endeavour 1, are growing, because of the failure of an intensive three days’ search, and also the absence of any signal from the yacht’s low-powered radio transmitter. However, it is considered possible that she may go on to England in preference to turning back.
