Mr E. L-. Smith, Mayor of New Brighton, is to be asked by the committee of the Christchurch Free Kindergarten Association to lay the foundation stone of the New Brighton Free Kindergarten. The Rev. C. E. B. Muschamp, vicar of St. Michael’s and All Angels, will be the preacher at the evening service of the Diocesan Choral Festival in the Cathedral on Thursday, October 7, when 500 voices from the Anglican choirs of Christchurch will take part.
