RECOMMENDED by DOCTORS FOR BARKS "In children the 'Heala.' produces a very welcome sedative effect, the child often dropping off to sleep before the radiation is finished." Dr. , M.8.C.5., LJLCJ*., Kent. In view of the absolute harmlessnes* and safety of the "Heala" Ray, it will readily be understood how extraordinarily valuable the "Heala" has proved u» cases of infants and children, especially those who are weakly or not readily amenable to medicinal or surgical treatment. Particularly in checking colds and other infections; restoring impaired organic functions; dealing with bruises, scratches and the results of accidents, relieving stomachic or other pain; and as a sedative for "nervy" infants or juveniles who are affected by night fears or more tangible digestive disturbances, the "Heala" Ray is rapidly creating for itself an unprecedented position in modern medical practice. The "Heala" Ray is Used and Recommended by 437 Doctors. The "Heala" Ray is Used in 86 Hospitals, anjl is Fully Endorsed by the "British Journal of Physical Medicine." Report on the "HEALA* Ray Apparatus from The Medical Society, University College Hospital, IrfHtcfon, W.C. I beg to report that I have examined the "HEALA" Ray in its physiological aspects. The Long Wave radiation was found to PENETRATE THE TISSUES TO A DEPTH OF OVER THREE INCHES. No harmful effects whatever have beea seen after the use of the "HEALA." The skin may be reddened, but must not be burnt. The time of exposure should be at least 15 minutes, but may be increased indefinitely without harm. I suggest that the "HEALA" be used in all cases where a local rise in the temperature of the superficial and underlying tissues is desirable without overheating the whole body. Among such cases I recommend the a. TO CLEAR UP SUPERFICIAL INFLAMMATION, instead of hot fomentations, i.e., boils, abscesses, carbuncles, etc. Frequent short treatments are beneficial. b. TO RELIEVE THE RHEUMATIC GROUP OF JOINT AND TISSUE DISEASES amenable to thermal treatment, such as Neuritis. Osteoarthritis. Lumbago and Sciatica. c. TO RELIEVE INFLAMMATION OF THE MUCOUS MEMBRANES as in nasal or bronchial catarrh where the passages are ostructed. I have seen a patient much relieved afte:- 10 minntcs* exposure to the rays. d. FOR DEEPER LYING OLD STANDING INFLAMMATION of the ovary or fallopian tubes. e. I have found that when directed on the head, in quiet surroundings, the "HEALA" has a strom? soothing effect which encourages sleep, and I CAN. THEREFORE. STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT IN CASES OF INSOMXIA.
