The opening of the wool scouring works on Monday last was largely responsible for the increased number of men found employment by the Temuka Placement Officer. The officer in charge, Mr J. Paton Boyd, stated that 12 men were placed in temporary and three in permanent employment. Of the latter, two were teamsters and one a farm hand.
