BRILLIANT HITTING BY N.Z. BATSMEN (Received September 14, 11 a.m.) DUBLIN, September 13. The liveliest cricket of the whole tour was seen when New Zealand met Ireland in the return match. The batsmen scored at the rate of two runs a minute. The wicket was easy after ran., which delayed the start until rnidafternoon. Wallace and Donnelly were associated in a remarkable secondwicket partnership, worth 98 in 37 minutes. Wallace gave a wonderful display of clean hitting reminiscent of Dacre. His score included seven sixes and six fours. Six wickets fell for 162. Page and Roberts, hitting freely, added 91 in less than an hour. At stumps New Zealand, in the first innings had scored 253 for six wickets (Wallace 82, Page 44 not out, Roberts 46 not out).
