MELBOURNE "ARGUS" IN NEW FORM
MELBOURNE, September 13. After 91 years' publication in traditional form, the Melbourne "Argus" appeared to-day in a new form. The news is on the front page, with small advertisements grouped in the centre section. The first issue of the new "Argus" contained 30 pages. Many messages of goodwill have been received from Britain and America, acclaiming the change as significant of progress and the development of greater public service. The issue is the result of a month's careful planning. Commenting on the change, the 'Argus" promises to advocate good watres, industrial development, social" legislation, and a better distribution of the nation's wealth.
