BOYCOTT OF JAPANESE GOODS

CONWAY WORKERS* UNION’S DECISION A boycott of Japanese goods has been agreed upon by the Conway branch of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, which at a recent meeting passed a resolution expressing approval of similar action taken by the Otahuhu branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and urging all unionists to follow a similar course. The resolution was as follows; “That the Conway branch of the New Zealand Workers’ Union endorse the action of the railway workers; that we refuse to purchase any Japanese goods or handle any goods consigned to Japan, until such time as Japan withdraws her troops from China; and that we ask all unionists to take similar action.”
