GERMAN AIRLINER OVERDUE
* HELP SOUGHT FROM BRITISH MINISTRY (Received September 9, 7.5 p.m.) BERLIN, September 8. General Goering has asked the British Air Ministry to assist in the search for a Lufthansa aeroplane which has been exploring a new route to the Far East and is overdue at Kabul. DEBATE IN BELGIAN PARLIAMENT • VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN ' PRIME MINISTER (Received September 9, 7.5 p.m.) BRUSSELS, September 8. At the conclusion of the debate on the allegations against the Prime Minister (M. van Zeeland), the Chamber of Deputies passed a vote of confidence by 130 votes to 34. The allegations against M. van Zeeland were made by the Rexisls and Flemish Nationalists about his relations with the National Bank. He denied that he received a salary as vice-governor of the bank simultaneously with his salary as Prime Minister, and said that by resigning from the bank and joining the Government he sacrificed £ 12,000.
