REPORT IN LABOUR NEWSPAPER DENIAL BY AUCKLAND ORGANISER (THE PRESS Special Service.! AUCKLAND, September 9. The published statement in the Labour paper, the ’‘Standard,” that there was grave disruption in the ranks of the National Party in Auckland, and that it was rumoured that Mr H. H. Sterling, formerly General Manager of Railways, had been asked to accept office as New Zealand organiser, was referred to by the Auckland organiser, Mr B. G. Edwards, and given a complete denial. , Mr Edwards added that on Saturday night a group of representatives from the Bay of Plenty. Tauranga Rotorua, and Thames had attended a meeting at Rotorua, and passed a unanimous resolution supporting the party and their leader.
