RAKAIA BIBLE CLASS

♦ ■ To augment the Foreign Mission Fund, members of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Bible Class held a successful variety evening in the Rakaia Town Hall on Wednesday. There was a good attendance, and visitors were present from Ashburton. A pleasant evening was spent in games and competitions. Songs were sung by Miss R. Morrison, and a one-act play, “The Crimson Coconut,” was acted by Misses Gwen Lee, Mary Ashford, Marjory Lee, and Messrs W. Ashford. L. Burrowes, and B. Cromie. A competition, in conjunction with the supper baskets, was won by Miss Enid Saunders (most original*, and Miss S. Oakley (best decorated). Mrs H. J. W. Knights was judge. '
