"PRESS SHIP" CONCERT

CAVALCADE OF MAORI MUSIC

Songs, hakas, and poi dances will be included in the Cavalcade of Maori Music to be presented by Mr Te Arj Pitama at the Carefree Club concert in aid of "Press Ship" Christmas Mis?ion and Cholmondeley Home cot funds at the Memorial Hall, Papanui, today. Thursday, September 9. Other items will include a play given by Hay's Drama Circle, under the direction of Mr J. Turkington, dances by the pupils of Miss Doreen Herbert, a Hilo Hawaiian quartet, and dances by Olga and Virginia Flint. The whole programme is Of a high order, and this, combined with the cause for which the performance is being given, should result in a record audience.
