FISHING REGULATION ULTRA VIRES

MAGISTRATE DISMISSES INFORMATION (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, August 27. A reserved decision was given today by Mr C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., dismissing informations against eight Auckland anglers. The informations were that by fishing for trout in Lake Rotoaira in the Taupo district the men infringed the regulations for the reservation of fishing in that lake and the special benefit conferred on members of the NgatiTuwharetoa tribe. The regulation was declared ultra vires and void.
