CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING IN NORTH ISLAND

(I»HE3B ASSOCIATIOH TBLXGHAM.) HAMILTON. August 27. The North Island shooting championship concluded at Morrinsville to-day, when E. Broome (Hawke's Bay) won the North Island clay-bird championship after a shoot-off with D. P. North (Whangarei) and F. Joblin (Morere), all of whom broke 21 birds. North was eliminated at the fifth and Joblin at the eighth in the shoot-off. Broome, who is the New Zealand clay bird champion, broke every bird with the first barrel.
