BADGES TO BE WON
. Once each year a little gold "Press Ship" badge is given to the girl or boy who has sent in the best literary work during the year. The girl or boy sending in the best paintings and drawings also wins a gold "Press Ship." The A.P.S. badge (Admiral of "The Press Ship") is awarded for excellence in Christmas Mission work, or Cholmondeley Home cot work. The M.G. (Merrygog) badge is given for good all-round work. The "Merrygogs" are a secret society of Shipmates and Sunbeams with secret words and passes. They receive small books of secret signs and rules. The L.B.H. badge (Literary Badge Holder) is awarded for good literary work. The A.B.H. badge (Artist Badge Holder) is awarded for good paintings or drawings. . The P.B.H badge (Puzzle Badge Holder) is awarded for good original puzzles. Any member whose name has appeared under the "Golden Ribbon" ' may sign herself or himself A.B. (Able-bodied Seaman).
