FIRST CONTRACTS SIGNED
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.I WELLINGTON, August 26. Mr J. A. Lee, Parlia. .entary UnderSecretary in Charge of Housing, announced that contracts for the first instalment bf State houses at Oarhartt had been signed. The first sche'rrie' consists of five separate contracts, comprising 11 single house units. Six will be constructed in Oamaru, stone veneer and five in wood, arid one twb-hbusfe Unit in Oamaru stone veneer, making a total of 13 hbiises. The dividing wall of the two-hbuse unit Will consist bf nifle inches of solid stone.
