SUGAR STRIKE SETTLED IN MAURITIUS

MAURITIUS, August 25
The strike on the sugar estates and also the dockers' sympathy strike have been settled. FCasual labourers on four of the sugar estates in Mauritius struck on August 16. Blood was shed on one estate, where four were killed and seven injured in a clash between the .■estate staff and the strikers.]
