TO THE EDITOR OF rHE PRESS. Sir. —Would von allow me to instigate a few inquiries. I believe three months ago last July an award covering farm workers was put into operation Thi- award was for a duration of three months. This time has been up almost four weeks now. and no mention of it's operations has been reintroduced. Some person in authority practically promised us an increase cf 2s 6d a week—a princely addition to our large incomes, provided wool prices kept steady, etc. Hoping to get some '• ec °g nition - YourS p^i ENCE . August 24, 1937.
IMr R. T. Bailey. dfT.cer in charge of I'ne Labour Department, said the award mentioned in this letter was not an award but the Agricultural Workers' Act. The act is still in force and no alteration has been made to it.l
