The Minister for Mines (the Hon. P. C. Webb) left Wellington for the south last night. The Minister for Defence, the Hon. F, Jones, arrived from Dunedin by the early express yesterday and after spending the day ir the city left in the evening for Wellington. s Mr A. Rittson-Thomas was re-elected president of the South Island Rabbit Boards’ Association at the annual conference held in Christchurch yesterday. Mr R. McGillivray, fields superintendent of the Department of Agriculture, will leave this morning for Dunedin to attend the annual grassland conference, which will commence to-night.
