PACIFIC AIR ROUTES

REGULAR SERVICE THOUGHT

PRACTICABLE

NEW YORK, July 9

The Imperial Airways flying-boat Caledonia landed to-day from Montreal. The commander, Captain Arthur Wilcockson, and his crew were welcomed by city officials. Captain Wilcockson told the Associated Press that a regular Pacific service was even more practicable than an Atlantic service, though he would hesitate to comment on this without actual experience of the Pacific. The weather in the Pacific, however, was more reliable than in the Atlantic. Undoubtedly the experience gained in the Atlantic would assist in solving the problem of the Pacific route.
